On the properties of an autonomous system of differential equations

This paper examines the shift operator of an autonomous system of ordinary differential equations. It is shown that the scalar product of the velocity field of the system under study and the normal of the boundary of the shift domain is constant along the corresponding trajectory. Positively invariant sets and asymptotic stability of absorbing sets are investigated.
