STABILIZATION OF SPLAY STATE BY EXTERNAL SIGNAL IN MULTIMODE LASERS

Poincare maps are derived to describe antiphase spiking in class
B multimode lasers. Analytical conditions are determined for splay
states and clustering of spikes associated with different
longitudinal laser modes. Stabilization of splay states is
proved in presence of small external signal.
