Synchronization in networks of pulse oscillators with time-delay coupling
Vladimir Klinshov, Vladimir Nekorkin
The paper is devoted to study of synchronization in small neural networks with coupling delays. We concentrate on two problems: i) long-range synchronization of cortical areas and ii) control of patterns of rhythmic activity of central pattern generators. We show that precise zero lag synchronization is possible even fordistant areas, which interact with large coupling delays. In context of CPGs dynamics coupling delays may provide a mechanism for control of rhythmic patterns.
