ANALYSIS OF RAIN EFFECT IN ULTRASONIC PROPAGATION

Juan P. Oria, Luciano Alonso
The study of ultrasonic waves propagation is made generally in homogeneous environments. Nevertheless, in most of real applications the conditions of propagation move away from the ideal conditions and the predicted results are not valid. In ultrasonic applications outdoor, it is necessary to study the influence of environmental conditions in the received echoes. The present work is focused on the study of ultrasonic propagation in air in the presence of rain.
