A General Criterion for Control of Chaos with Feedback

The paper considers the problem of feedback controlling of chaos in a two-dimensional system with arbitrary excitation frequency. The assumption is that the unperturbed system has two saddles connected by a separatrix. The result is proved using the Melnikov's method and depends only on the equation for the separatrix - it is not necessary to solve the unperturbed system explicitly..
