Robustness analysis of a model-reference adaptive voltage controller with respect to no-load voltage disturbance in power systems

In a previous paper, the authors have developed the design of a voltage controller in power systems, which ensures tracking of a reference voltage signal while accounting for unknown variations of the steady-state operating conditions of the system. The design is based on the use of the discrete-time model-reference adaptive system theory. In
view of this research topic and starting from the obtained results, the present paper studies the closed-loop stability and robustness properties of the adaptive voltage control scheme in presence of no-load voltage disturbance. After recalling the main background material, the paper
illustrates this study with reference to a system model with all zeros inside the unit circle.
