LINEAR HAMILTONIAN CONTROL SYSTEMS UNDER LINEAR ALGEBRA POINT OF VIEW

M. Isabel Garcia-Planas, Antonio Chanes-Espigares
The study of linear Hamiltonian systems has attracted
a great deal of interest in recent years because they can model a number of important problems in theoretical physics, mechanics, fluid dynamics and other disciplines.

The properties of Hamiltonian systems like conservation of energy or volume in the phase space leads specific dynamical features that can be treated by means linear algebra procedures.

This paper approaches the study, analysis and characterization of control properties of linear Hamiltonian systems through the linear algebra.
