Negative differential conductivity of a system due to development of Turing structure

Formation of a large amplitude Turing pattern may be accompanied by appearance of the negative differential conductance in a self-organized system. The effect is observed at studying a two-component reaction-diffusion model introduced earlier to interpret the occurrence of pattern formation in semiconductor-gas discharge devices. The revealed autocatalytic process can initiate further complicated scenarios of self-organization of a system.
