In this paper theoretical and experimental aspects of an estimation of a design method efficiency of pulse energy converter (PEC) control systems are presented. The key idea of the proposed method is an iterative application of stage of classical frequency domain design, based on small signal modeling, with a consecutive nonlinear dynamics analysis. This method application and experimental confirmation is demonstrated on an example of control system design of direct current-direct current (DC-DC) buck converter.
