On an application of the filtering theory for delayed dynamic systems to plants without delay

The optimal filtering problem for linear delayed dynamic
systems with nonzero initial condition is investigated.
It turns out that the solution of this problem, in essence,
gives a solution to the filtering problem for the plants
without delay but with arbitrarily correlated plant noise.
