STUDY OF SH-SY5Y CANCER CELLS RESPONSE
TO IONIZING RADIATION BY VIBRATIONAL SPECTROSCOPIES

Raman and Fourier-Transform infrared micro-spectroscopies have been used to study neuroblastoma SH-SY5Y cells irradiated with different doses of X-ray. Results show that radiation-induced changes in structure, protein, nucleic acid, lipid, and carbohydrate content can be detected.
